Special thanks to the customers who have handed in some gifts to fatten me up 😂😂.

Over the last few weeks I’ve been handed in umpteen gifts from some of my wonderful customers. Due to being extremely busy and not feeling myself I didn’t getting round to post a wee thank you but it’s greatly appreciated.

I absolutely love what I do and get great satisfaction when I can put a smile on a customers face knowing that spending that extra time helping them is valued and appreciated especially when it’s been able to make such a daunting task simpler for them.

After an extremely busy and testing week this review shows me all the effort and stress I put in is worth it.

I’ve had a few people ask a couple of questions regarding swollen batteries so thought I’d do a short video with some information.

This is what happens when you leave a swollen battery in your phone for too long.

Customer came in today to have it replaced however 10 minutes later we heard a bang and found this phone up in flames.

Thankfully no damage to the shop but just imagine if this had been in your pocket or lying on your bed.

Our phone line is down. We are in the middle of moving to a new provider. They should be back up later today or tomorrow morning.

Just be careful where you buy certain things from. If it sounds cheap then there’s a reason.

The first picture is of an external hard drive that’s meant to have 3TB of storage, in reality it was a MicroSD card that only had 64GB of storage and had been manipulated to look bigger.

The second picture is a customers phone that has had the back glass replaced somewhere. Apparently there was a new battery fitted too however the customer was experiencing issues. Turns out the inside of the phone was full of broken glass which had pierced the battery which was still the customers original battery. What was more unbelievable is that all the dots you can see is actually bits of the old glass still there. Initially I thought it was the punch down tool that helps breakdown the old glass.

Such a busy week for me. We’ve been repairing iPads for Stanley Primary School in Ardrossan.

After we fixed all the iPads, we fitted new screen protectors to all the iPads to give them some extra protection.

I’m slowly catching up so I apologise to anyone who’s had a delay. On top of carrying out all these repairs, the shops been super busy.

This PS5 come in for HDMI Port Replacement however after opening up we found a few years worth of dust had gathered inside the Heatsink and round the fan.

Did you know that we give your console a full clean inside whilst we have it open repairing the port free of charge.

All refurbishment works were completed this evening and thankfully I’m still in one piece. Yesterday I fell down the stairs and this evening a 24 port network switch came flying off the shelf and whacked me on the head. I’m just glad I had a witness to it. Thankfully no major damage and just a few sore spots 😂.

Now that all refurbishment works have been completed, I need to spend a few days getting everything back into order. We will 100% be reopening on Monday 20th January.

I’d like to apologise for any inconvenience that being closed may have caused anyone.

Last year, I had refurbished the front of the shop but also needed to carry out upgrades to our workbenches. I’ve taken the decision to open late every Friday until Christmas to help out with this as well as giving you some extra to pop in and see me.

A different challenge today.

Customers new CPU ended up being damaged through the installation process carried out by themselves.

Thankfully we were able to straighten all the bent pins and clean up the thermal compound that ended up on it. After updating the BIOS and fitting the repaired CPU, the customer is now up and running again.
